Clone 44

Note: This game was developed as a student project over the course of 2 months.

Clone 44 is a fast-paced, top-down roguelike hack & slash where chaos is your greatest weapon. Heavily inspired by 90s retro action-horror classics, this is a blood-soaked arena brawler filled with morbid dark humor, cartoonish ultra-violence, and a thumping industrial soundtrack.

The Story

Germany, 1944. As the Third Reich collapses, a brand-new American Temporal Cyborg Super-Soldier arrives to restore freedom... only to get captured. That super-soldier is you.

Trapped in a secret underground laboratory, you are now the guinea pig for an army of monstrous, mutant abominations. To survive, you must fight through relentless waves of enemies in enraged, visceral combat. Fortunately, you have a unique advantage: you can multiply your power using holographic clones that mimic your every move, and push your limits by experimenting with highly dangerous injections.

Will you win your freedom... or lose your mind along the way?

Core Gameplay: Chain Reaction Chaos

• Weaponize Your Clones: Spawn blue holographic clones that reproduce your actions with a time delay. Synchronize with them to dominate the arena and create devastating, overlapping attacks.
• Become Unstoppable: Survive arena rounds and choose between powerful, game-changing upgrades. Combine them to create broken, overpowered synergies that paint the room red.
• Classic Arsenal: Equip a gun-arm and a sword-arm to obliterate specialized enemy types—from swarming runners and tactical snipers to heavy tanks.
